ABOUT US

Helping Hand Ghana is a non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization founded with the desire to help the disabled and vulnerable in Ghanaian society. Our aim is to recruit volunteers all around the world to assist Ghanaians, especially in rural and deprived communities, in terms of education and health.

OUR MISSION

Helping Hand Ghana is very sensitive and respectful of the needs of the local people who are sometimes ignored in the country.

We visit villages to get to know their needs, in terms of tutors for their schools, volunteers for orphanages and in the rural health sectors - plus a whole lot more.

Since HHG has Ghanaian based organizations it ensures that the programs it undertakes benefit the local people. It encourages a mutual co-operation between HHG and these local people, with ideas for projects and placements being founded and directed by the local people themselves. In order to make participants' stay truly worthwhile and meaningful, we place them in various communities where a lot of help is needed from them.
